ĂN ĂN is Co Chin Chin’s latest venture. It’s well located, close to Paradeplatz yet slightly tucked away. The carefully designed sign with the two words ĂN ĂN — meaning “eat, eat” — is easy to spot. This restaurant offers Indochine cuisine at its best with a decent selection of vegan dishes.
The menu offers plenty to explore, focusing less on classic Vietnamese dishes and more on Indochinese influences. I (of course) especially enjoyed the vegan dishes: rice crepes with tofu, a hearty tofu rice pot, papaya salad, and ginger tea.
The atmosphere is equally compelling. Thoughtful patterns, balanced colour combinations, earthy tableware, and the recurring ĂN ĂN crescent motif shape the space throughout.
